You kept me grounded; filled
with those little
reminders for
the need to
work.

You kept me sane;
my walkman
ever rising
discretely
to the top

You kept me fed;
delicious snacks
forever
floating around
the bottom

You kept me entertained;
so much to
doodle
and so much to
doodle with

You kept my secrets;
my cigarettes
tucked
inside your
zippered
pockets
