Endowed by my creator,
To have a crunchy chew,
I sat waiting with many,
And listened for my cue.
Taught by other ice cream cones,
Who claimed their words were true,
My purpose will be clear-cut,
And I'll know what to do.
One day my doubts were answered,
By hands uniquely skilled,
With rich chocolate ice cream,
My inner void was filled.
No longer simply a cone,
But a treat nicely chilled,
Desired by many souls,
Admirers were thrilled.
Now I'm nobody's hero,
I'm not the world's most brave,
But now I know my purpose,
Is to satisfy your crave.
When I've fulfilled my calling,
What lives beyond the grave,
The total satisfaction,
And pleasure that I gave.
