A promise
Stay
Breathe
Watch
Listen
Absorb

As the trees continue to grow
As the waters continue to flow
As the sky expands across the planet.
The energies within flowing up
Out of pockets deep beneath the surface

The earth,
The dirt we walk upon
Like a fine filter
Allowing what is below
To sustain its life force

We are upon a living breathing creature
Beyond anything we can imagine to exist
The faint hum of electricity
Slowly emitting tendrils of energy,
Of life

The song, don't you hear it?
Can't you hear it anymore?
She gives to you, to me, to all of us
Who is still listening?
Are you?
And what about you?
Don't forget.

The promise we made so many ages ago
Before the dawn and the dusk
And the light and the dark existed
We will share of one another.
As above, so below.

The energy below feeds up to us
Sustains us
Gives us bounties and harvests
In return, we care for our mother earth
We tend to her, nourish her

We give our lives back to her
As empty shells
Giving back to the earth what we took in life
An exchange of energy
A reciprocal activity we all take part in.

Encounters with the devils
And the gods of this place
Are inevitable.
It is what we do with those meetings
And how we connect that is important

How we use that knowledge
To move forwards
In a meaningful way
To envelop a new eternity
In this world, and beyond

Another string tied
His song.
