Caverns of the Mind

 

The mind is a vast cavern
Holding infinite pieces of knowledge
The breadth and depth of it
can be unfathomable

Sometimes, that cavern
can be closed off, due to
time, age, accident, or trauma
Bringing fear and confusion

Looking for information
in this darkened cave
is like having a flashlight
with no batteries

Care, kindness, patience -
Skills that can be learned
are the only hand we can hold
during times of upheaval
