demons

i'm barely picking up the pieces,
waiting for the moment it releases,
for when it decreases and there is peace.

try to keep my head above the water,
i've never been much of a talker,
but there is a stalker,

watching and lurking,

waiting to make their next move.
but what they don't know is i've improved.
it senses i'm trying to remove,
i'm getting stronger and it disapproves.

but i will get to the other side,
no matter how hard i've cried,
lord knows i've tried.
