The smell of fear sweat rises to my nose. Fear sweat in huge quantities. Before I can open my eyes and look around, I feel cold. My legs start to shake, goosebumps crawl up my arms.
Nervously, I try with all my might to open my eyes. But I do not succeed.
Pointed screams ring through the night. Was that my sister?
An ice-cold hand grabs me and pulls me into something ... I can't describe it. But after a few seconds I know what it is: air.
I am floating.
Once again I try to open my eyes. I succeed.
But what I see I would rather not see.
I see the rocky ground coming towards me. No, it is me who is coming towards it.
I am falling.
Suddenly the cold hand grabs me again and pulls me upwards.
I catch sight of my sister far below. I shout words at her that not even I can understand.
"Don't do that," breathes the voice that probably belongs to the hand clutching my wrist.
I will not give up. Not now, when something strange is happening.
