Nights Of Wonder

As I sit and write this piece the night draws in again
I love this time, a glorious stage so I have to get it penned.

I look up to the moon above and sense a spiritual pull
The birds now rest and go to sleep but I still hear a gull.

It's nights like this that inspire the heart and free the mind from ill
I'd like to wander the fields this night, it is my favourite fill.

I wish upon each star I see as they twinkle high above
The cosmos welcomes us to see a forever undying love.
