Be Positive

My blood type is B Positive,
a good sign to be sure.
I like to think it helps me cope
and maybe something more.

Oh, you may think that I am nuts
and you may not be wrong.
But if I can stay positive
I know I can be strong.

Be positive is what I say
when things are going bad.
Sometimes those pep talks cheer me up
and I don’t feel so sad.

Now you may be A Negative
and you don’t have a clue.
When things are upside down for you,
you don’t know what to do.

Or maybe you’re the AB type
and so you get confused.
You don’t know if you’re in or out;
you feel you’ve been abused.

And O types really feel left out.
How did they get so odd?
They find themselves out in the cold.
Some mischief played by God?

B Negative must be the worst.
I’m glad that isn’t me.
With that blood running through my veins,
well, how good could life be?

But in the end we’re all the same.
Yeah, all our blood is red.
Without that precious lively flow
we all would be quite dead.
