how things are going
My skin is no longer one uniform color
Marked in various spots with different shades
Like little badges of honor

Some are self inflicted
But others you were kind enough to give me
Those are the ones I'm most grateful for

My thighs are stained red
From the broken glass I opened them with
The dripping blood provides comfort that cannot be found anywhere else

My chest is colored yellow and pink
Faded bruises and fresh teeth marks
These are beautiful to me even to hurt it means I am wanted

My arms are burned purple
A constant rotation of punches and grabs
Some hurt so bad I cry others hurt so bad I want you

Being held in by your love keeps me going
Not everyone sees it as love
But I know what it is

When you hit me I feel valued
I want more I want every piece you will give me
I love the way I am yours

When you use my body in public I feel proud
I love when you drive us around make me take my shirt off and hit me
Grab me by the neck and make me listen to you

No one has ever loved me like this before
This I know is true
I hope I stay burned purple for you
