Jesus Heals an Official’s Son

Scripture: Jn 4:46-54

God’s Attribute: Good (Jesus Is good).

Main Truth: Jesus has the power to give eternal life. Eternal life means we can live forever.

Story:

“Our hands we fold, our heads we bow, so we can talk to God right now. Thank You God for this story, and thank You for sending Jesus.” Use ASL for amen. Hold up Bible. “This is the B.I. B. L. E, the Bible. Can you say Bible?The Bible is God’s true Word.” Sing The B. I. B. L. E. “The Bible tells us about God and Jesus.”

“Have you ever been sick? Nobody likes being sick.” Put tissue to nose. Sneeze and cough.
“A little boy was sick.” Frown.Hold up sick boy image. Lay down on desk. “See, he’s in bed.”

“The boy’s dad asked Jesus to make the boy better.” Show picture of men talking. Point to dad, point to Jesus. “Who can say Jesus?”

”Jesus Is good.” Smile.

“Jesus made the boy better!” Spring happy boy up from bed. Move him around, running and jumping.

Hold up picture of men talking. Point to dad, point to Jesus. “The dad believed in Jesus.”

“The whole family believed in Jesus.” Show picture of family.

This is work God gave Jesus to do.

Jesus has the power to give eternal life. Flex muscles.

“My God Is so big, so full of power, there’s nothing my God cannot do.”

Scripture Verse: “Jesus said ‘My work is to do what God sent me to do.’” To God Us So Good. 3x, then “John 4:34, John 4:34, John 4:34 Amen.”


Questions:
What is this book? Hold up Bible. This is the Bible.
Who was sick? A little boy.
Who made him better? Jesus did.

Music: Pass out instruments/ribbons.

God Is Good, and Jesus Is good.

God Is So Good. God gives us Jesus, Jesus gives us eternal life, Jesus makes us better, God gives us families, Glory, Hallelujah

Jesus did what God said. Jesus obeyed God. We have to obey God too.

Trust and Obey with motions 2-3 times

God and Jesus are always good. We can praise God and Jesus. Break out ribbons. Praise Him, Praise Him. Use Obey Him, Trust Him.

Quiet time: Get out blanket, turn off light. Sing Jesus Loves Me, both kinds. He’s got the whole world, use all the families.
