Battle and demons within one's mind body and soul
Buy. Orren Benjamin Walker

I write this, for those who can speak no more

In the depths of night, I'm but a shadow,
With a sickness that haunts, none can know.
It tears at my soul, piece by piece,
Only to ease when it feasts, finding release.

A wicked dagger pierces my vein,
Feeding the Beast, this demon I so claim.
My journey is treacherous, dark, and slim,
A fight I must win, against odds so grim.

Each day and night, I travel the Wind,
Like a leaf spiraling down, to the ground my life's end.
Eager to please, to be free of this urge,
This sickness that overcomes, a relentless surge.

Its grip, cold and consuming, takes its toll,
With each breath, each heartbeat, it takes control.
In the clutches of this demon, I'm confined,
A battle waged within, body and mind.

Am I the captain, or merely a fools pawn?
In this vessel called life, I struggle on.
Like a gladiator in a Roman Colosseum,
I fight as a slave to this demonic medium.

It pierces my veins, rushing like a tide,
Dragging me to Hades, where heroes hide.
In this realm, no legends or tales untold,
Where life's harmony is a witch's brew, cold.

In many ways, I pray for liberation and release,
From this Beast's clutches, aching for peace.
Tightening its grip, tearing upon my soul,
Gasping for air, as despair takes its toll.

They say there's no hope, no escape in sight,
But I'll finish this journey, with all my might.
As I flow down the river, back to the start,
In solitude, with gratitude, I find my part.

We're but mirrors, reflecting our strife,
I bask in the gleaming light, embracing life.
An ever-ending journey, a thought profound,
As beads of sweat fall, tracing my battleground.

With aching stomach and knots yet undone,
I glimpse a glimmering light, victory won.
For my journey is over, my fight is done,
Overcome by the darkness, my soul has begun.

Farewell, my friend, as I bid you you good day
In this realm of shadows, where dreams come true.
Though my pain was hidden, my journey unknown,
I leave behind this verse, a testament to be shown.
