Revelation

I made the decision late

knowing it was best for me.

sitting in the sunshine peeking out

from above the mountain tops.

every cell in my brain summoned

for this pivotal moment in my life,

looming large for too long without the attention it needed sooner.

I don’t remember when it happened,

so obvious in hindsight

my muscles tightened as the right choice tumbled around inside.

times such as this one make me feel so alive and motivated

to do more than let life control me when I am the one in control.
