"Wishing"


When you wish upon a star,
You wish for dreams to come true.
Sometimes there is nothing there,
So then you wonder why!


Hoping for something to be real,
But then you stop and think.
Why am I trying so hard,
I am fine on my own.


I have what it takes to survive,
Wishing does no good.
They're all nothing but thoughts,
Promises thought of and broken.


And your feeling will always remain,
Don't put things on hold just to wish.
Take the chance of nothing happening,
So don't wish until you know for sure.
