I sit on a chair overlooking the beach as the sun taps down on the horizon. Busy times ahead and behind. A night out under the southern sky's stars, guitar around the campfire, and now I'm here. It's almost bittersweet. The end of one day, leading to another. One less count of twenty-four hours left on my time, and yet, nothing was lost. The ocean slaps the sand as the warm breeze blows through the air, carrying a scent of salt. I rise from my chair, turning my back on the open ocean to head inside. I wasn't born for resting, but a moment away from a life of constant moving is okay. I await my next outing. The next sunset.
