Game Start Jeremy had lost a game between himself and his friends, David and Matthew. In their little trio, Jeremy was usually the “fall guy,” usually the meeker, shier one and usually the one being teased. He was used to losing, but this time, he felt a little bit worried. On their way home from school, Jeremy went with his friends to David’s house. The boys left their shoes by the door and went into David’s room. Shutting and locking the room, David bore a mischievous smile as he reached into his drawer and retrieved a tiny remote. Jeremy recognized this as David’s new shrink ray. He had bought it online and demonstrated its abilities by shrinking some furniture down. As he briefly demonstrated on Matthew, the shrink ray also affected people just the same. It was a very cool gadget, no doubt, but this was where their penalty came into play. Because Jeremy had lost the game, it was agreed that he would be on the receiving end of the remote. “Okay, Jerry. You ready?” David asked, masking his excitement. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” Matthew asked. “Relax, it’ll be fine. It’s perfectly safe, remember? And it’s not like we’re gonna leave him that way~” Jeremy shifted his feet nervously. David was clearly unconcerned, smiling and flexing his toes eagerly. Matthew, being the more mature one of the boys, only possessed a calm, stoic frown, but there was a faint hint of curiosity. “Sigh…let’s just get it over with.” Jeremy said, resigning to his fate. With a simple click of the button, Jeremy’s entire world changed. He was speechless at the sight of them: a pair of comfy white socks and a pair of bare feet, more big than their own houses or even their school. Jeremy was hesitant in craning his head back to meet the faces of his own gargantuan friends, looming miles above him in the sky. The boys stared down at him like a curious little subject. Just seconds ago, Jeremy stood equal level with his two friends, but now he was lower than their own toes. He was a mere ant, and they were two human kids. The sheer scale was both amazing and terrifying. And like any ant before two kids, his fate was entirely up to them. Jeremy felt unbelievably powerless and afraid. Already, he could see David’s foot lifting up, as if wanting to bring it closer to display his newfound power “Okay, little guy. We’ll let you decide who goes first~” David said. In the next moment, a ceiling of peach and a ceiling of white cotton hovered over Jeremy. He was viewing the undersides of their soles. By this point, they no longer viewed Jeremy as an equal, but as a teeny-tiny play-thing who looked irresistible to squish. Well, this was David’s thought, at least. David was always the more playful and teasing one, while Matthew was merely just playing along with his whims. Still, Jeremy cringed at the idea of being smooshed under either of their soles, treated like a simple bug. Regardless, it was going to happen either way, and Jeremy had no way to argue or defend himself in this powerless position. So, he made the first choice. Jeremy walked toward David first. Since this was his idea and his game, he wanted to let David have his fun. Almost without hesitating, the enormous mass of flesh slowly descended. Whenever they visited each other’s houses, David liked to be barefoot. It was a reflection of his more open, free-spirited personality. Sometimes, he would wiggle his toes at Jeremy whenever he teased him, the latter cringing at the gesture. Jeremy could tell that David was eager to smash him beneath his own sole, so he gave his friend the satisfaction. David lowered his foot slowly, as if wanting Jeremy to cherish every moment. When it was a second from fully landing, Jeremy instinctively brought his hands up, as if to defend himself, but it was fruitless. He was utterly overwhelmed by the mountain of pungent flesh, and he was completely smooshed. Jeremy had only the narrowest window for his teeny-tiny head. His body was completely flattened beneath the weight of his friend, unable to squirm or move. Fortunately, as part of the shrink ray’s programming, his mass was condensed in a way where he couldn’t be ripped apart in any way. Otherwise, David wouldn’t be having as much fun as he is now. Jeremy could find every minute detail along David’s bare sole, make out all the complex textures. Beyond the gap between his friend’s bulbous toes was David’s face, beaming with joy in the sky above. He was feeling such happiness from Jeremy’s humiliation. His foot was relaxed in peace, as if he felt absolutely nothing wrong. It’s true that he had no intention to hurt Jeremy, it’s true that he was going to grow him back afterward… but beyond that, David felt no concern for Jeremy’s discomfort or humility. He was simply enjoying himself. Once David had his fun, it was now Matthew’s turn. Playing along, Matthew’s socked foot rose above Jeremy. His sock, usually white and fluffy as snow in the window light, looked much grayer beneath the shadow of the sole. Being the more mature and reserved one, Matthew preferred to wear socks indoors. He preferred to keep his feet warm and comfortable. Jeremy had expected a bit more mercy on his end, knowing Matthew’s previous concerns. Still, as Matthew’s sock slowly began to descend, Jeremy couldn’t help but think how cozy it looked. It looked like a gargantuan, fluffy cloud. As Jeremy put his hand to the sole, it felt incredibly gentle and warm. Within the next minute, the sole was completely lowered. Jeremy was totally smooshed under the mass of cotton. “Heheh… this feels kinda nice.” Jeremy said to himself. “Like…like being smooshed under a giant mattress. Hehe… it’s not so bad.” Compared to David’s pungent, moist foot, Matthew’s sock felt incredibly soft and welcoming. Jeremy had more room to squirm around, feeling the weight at all different angles. The more he shifted about, the more fluffy and comfy it felt. Why, he could almost imagine himself falling asleep in it. It was just so embracing. He could feel his own woes being smooshed out of him. Meanwhile, a smile had formed on Matthew’s face. Though he was unsure at first… he was starting to enjoy this feeling. To think his own friend was probably squirming under his sock, getting tangled up in the very tiny knitting. It was sort of exciting. He wished he could see how Jeremy looked under there, how utterly tiny he was to his sole. “Heh heh, okay… try to climb up to my toes.” Matthew requested. The reserved boy sat himself on the bed with his socked feet propped up. Jeremy began to climb the underside of Matthew’s sock. Matthew kept his foot at an angle where he could see the little guy, and Jeremy could tell by Matthew’s half-smile that he was starting to enjoy this game. David was also thoroughly examining the little guy, cherishing each moment of his struggles and humility. Matthew’s sock truly expanded like a great mountain. If this were an actual mountain, this would be an amazing experience, and he would feel like a brave adventurer. But in reality, he was literally climbing the sole of his own friend’s foot. This adventure, this struggle, and his purpose was merely for his friends’ enjoyment. From their perspective, it was merely a cute little show to make them feel powerful. Still, the longer he clambered up his friend’s vast sock, his mind only able to wander during the long journey, he began to find some comfort with the situation. Despite the humiliation, they were still his friends. Even if he was teased often, Jeremy always found it relaxing to play with his friends. And what better place than the safety and comfort of their rooms? Lost in his thoughts, Jeremy was almost at the tip of Matthew’s toe. Soon, this phase of the game would end. “Hee hee. Time for the smooshy~” Matthew cooed. Before Jeremy knew it, the other foot was closing in. Jeremy was smooshed between two socked toes. But after a moment, he brought them apart. “Oh, you’re still hanging on. Haha, sorry~” “That was mean, Matthew!” Jeremy yelled. “Hey, Matty~” David called. Matthew perked up when the playful friend poked his sole with his finger. “Kukukukuku…” Reactively, Matthew began to giggle from the light tickles, wiggling his toes. As a result, Jeremy began to flail up and down, clinging tightly to the fabric. “Aaaaahhh! David, stop it, stoooooop!” Jeremy cried out in hopelessness. But David didn’t listen. He continued to tickle his friend for the sole purpose of Jeremy’s inconvenience. He giggled, and Matthew giggled. And after a moment, Jeremy began to laugh, too. To think his own friend’s toes would feel like a crazy amusement park ride. As humiliating as it was, Jeremy enjoyed this time with his friends. The boys were close and happy. And as tiny as Jeremy was, he could ask for no better people to play with him. Little Jeremy was rather battered and dizzy from being by his friend’s feet, the smell of his foot still lingering in his nose. "Nnnnuuu... what's happening..." Jeremy felt himself hanging by his shirt, suspended in the air from David's fingers. The enormous face of his playful friend totally enveloped his vision. That beaming expression could only have one meaning: David had formed an idea. "You know... stepping on him is fun and all... but we could totally eat him..." "WHAT?!" Jeremy cringed at the very idea. "Uh, dude, are you sure that's safe?" Matthew asked. "I mean... there's only two ways out, you know." "But think about it! We can totally go inside each other! It would be so cool! So..." "I think we should hold off on that." Matthew suggested rationally. "Okay, fine. ...But we can at least put him in the mouth. Whaddya say, little guy?" Jeremy could tell by the size of his gaping mouth that he really had no say in the matter. At this point, David would just do whatever he pleased. Jeremy's face creased ever more with disgust as David's slobbery tongue stretched out. He was inched closer and closer... and was smothered within a single glob of saliva, as if magnetically drawn to him. David released Jeremy onto his tongue. He slowly pulled it back in. Jeremy couldn't believe it: he was actually inside his friend's mouth! Since the day they met, he never expected anything this weird to happen. And the saliva was so sticky that he could barely move at all. He was completely helpless and humiliated. "Hmmm..." Matthew moaned, narrowing his eyes on David's mouth. "Huh? Wat?" David asked, trying to keep his tongue steady. "Uh... can I have a turn?" While Matthew was unsure at first, this was quite an interesting sight. To think their own friend was tiny and inside David's mouth. He sort of wanted to know what he tasted like... how it felt to actually hold a tiny person in his own mouth. They pulled Jeremy out and dried him off. However, his journey only just begun. "Okay, now Matthew gets a turn." David smirked, steadily tying Jeremy up in a tiny piece of string. "But this time, we're going a little bit deeper. Don't worry, I'll pull you right out. You ready?" Jeremy moaned in dismay. There was no point protesting at this point. While Matthew maintained a composed, mature air, there was a light in his eyes that was ever so desiring. Before this day, Matthew never considered how it would feel to eat his own friend, but such a strange, surreal thought was now the only thing on his mind. Matthew opened his mouth, welcoming Jeremy as David slowly lowered him on the string. The teeny-tiny boy set foot on the tip of the squishy pink tongue. Jeremy couldn't believe how gapingly vast it was, like a great cliff with many bumps. Matthew's mouth had always been relatively small, but seeing it on this tremendous of a scale put into perspective how tiny Jeremy had become. Against his own control, Jeremy slipped and was now sliding down the tongue like the biggest waterslide ever. It was much smoother and slipperier than David's tongue as though Matthew were incredibly eager to welcome him. The further he descended into the chasm, the more complex the details became. Jeremy never knew what the mouth looked like beyond the uvula. It felt so alien and unreal, but to think this was the inside of an ordinary human mouth. The inside of Jeremy's own mouth probably looked like this, as microscopic as he was. Falling further and further, Jeremy was compressed through a squishy, fleshy floor. The suction was so strong that Jeremy slipped right out of his soaked, slippery shirt. "Aaaaaahh!" Jeremy plopped onto a surface. "HUH?!" He perked up in panic. Soaked in saliva, he realized he was shirtless. Shirtless and free from the string. "Okay, let's pull him out." David said, pulling the string as it slipped out from Matthew's throat. "...Huh?" To David's shock, only Jeremy's shirt came out. "Uhhh...uh-oh." "W...What happened?" Matthew asked worriedly. "Matthew? I think you just ate Jeremy..." "What?" David pulled up Matthew's shirt and leaned toward the belly. "Hey... Jeremy? Are you in there? Can you hear me?" Jeremy couldn't believe it. He was trapped inside his friend's body. He wasn't sure where he was. Was he in the throat? In the stomach? ...Somewhere else? Everything was moving and contracting so much that he couldn't tell. Jeremy moaned in agony. This was supposed to be an ordinary, after-school visit to his friend's house. Even after being shrunken, he didn't think he would end up lost in his own friend's body. He felt so cold and vulnerable without his shirt, and his good jeans and sneakers were getting ruined with saliva. Would he ever find a way out of here? He didn't wanna spend a whole day in Matthew's tummy. ...Unfortunately, there were only a couple ways out of here, and none of them were pleasant... Buggy Rupert and Timmy loved to explore the woods. They enjoyed the breeze brushing the leaves, the gentle rays of sun poking through, and best of all, all the neat little bugs that wandered the grass beneath their feet. With a net in hand, the boys searched for any cool insects that caught their eye and would swiftly, but gently capture them. "Now, let's see what we got." Timmy said, the boys peering into the net after their recent haul. "!" The dark-haired boy perked up. "Rupert... do you see that?" "Huh?" Rupert looked to the very tiny thing squirming in the netting. It was as small as an ant, but... "I've never seen a bug like that." "It looks like..." Timmy carefully reached down to pick it up. Timmy was speechless after a closer observation of the tiny creature... but he recognized him as Robby, one of their own classmates. Robby was often a timid and shy boy, and the two friends sometimes liked to tease him, so it was no wonder he would be so frightened as Timmy and Rupert completely overwhelmed him in this situation. "Rupert... it's Robby, from school!" Timmy balanced the little guy on his fingertip, holding him to Rupert's face. "What? Robby?!" Rupert gazed up in awe. "AH! HEY! BE CAREFUL! AAAAHH!" The simple way Timmy tilted his finger caused Robby to fall, but the gentle breeze carried and placed him directly against Rupert's lips. "Rupert, be careful! He's on your lips!" "Mmm?" Learning this, Rupert glanced down, keeping his mouth shut. "..." Then, a little smile pursed his lips. Carefully, he stuck his tongue out, and he could just feel the little guy on its tip. "EEEEEWW!" Robby began to squirm as the enormous, soggy, squishy organ uplifted him. When he wound up shrunk in the middle of the woods, winding up on his classmate's tongue was the last thing he expected. The idea of being licked or spit on was gross enough, but he would need a million baths to wash this feeling off. "Hnhnhnhnhn." Rupert let out a muffled giggled, winking mischievously. "Uhhh..." Timmy merely cocked a brow in cringe. Rupert had a quirky habit of licking people who tried to get in his face, simply to gross them out or score a quick laugh. Despite this unusual situation, he just couldn't resist this unique opportunity. "Hold on, let me get him." Timmy said, reaching to pick the little guy off Rupert's- "Hm?" Rupert withdrew the tongue back into his mouth, smiling innocently. "R-Rupert!" "Hm, hm hm, hm hmmmmm~" Rupert's cheeks would puff in and out as he seemed to move his tongue around. It was clear to Timmy his friend knew full well what he was doing and intended to take full advantage of Robby's situation. "AAAAH! R-R-Rupert! W-w-what're you doing?!" The instant Rupert drew his tongue back was when Robby entered an entirely new world. In that split second, Robby was gazing toward the very depths of Rupert's throat. Rupert, the classmate he saw in school every day, one of many ordinary kids... Robby was inside his mouth. This was the inside of an ordinary kid's mouth. It was incredibly vast and alien, waterfalls of saliva pouring everywhere. The inside of Robby's own mouth looked like this... and only then did it really click how small Robby had become. Rupert opened his mouth, bringing back the light of the outside world, but it was denied from Robby as the tongue flapped him around. The tongue was like an ocean, sloshing around as waves and impossible to swim in. The ocean tides didn't care for any humans lost in its current. Robby was completely helpless to Rupert's whims... and as Robby could picture himself licking the tiniest bread crumb off his finger, he knew it would only take a split second for Rupert to slurp him down if he wanted to. Still bounded to the waves of Rupert's tongue, Robby panicked as he found himself surfing toward cliffs of white. "OOF!" Against normal cliffs, Robby might have cracked his skull open, but it seemed Rupert's teeth were a bit more merciful, giving him only a mild concussion. To think Rupert's little teeth alone had become this enormous. "Rupert, stop!" Timmy grabbed his friend's cheek and pulled it open. "Whah?" Rupert tried to speak. "Ah wa'n't go'a sallow hi'." "We're gonna get in so much trouble if something bad happens! Now, where is he..." "Ow...mmmmm..." Rupert's tongue seemed to rest, Robby groggily recovering in a sinking pool of the mushy surface. The end of Rupert's tongue stretched like a cliff, Timmy's gargantuan eyes looming beyond it. He didn't think his classmate would intend to eat him, but his anxiety grew the longer he was stuck on this tongue. He was lucky to even be found by fellow humans at all, but he wished it could've been someone else besides these two. They weren't taking this situation that seriously at all. Robby wanted to cry for his parents, or the teacher, anything, but he had absolutely no options but to trust these two with his fate. "Please, just get me outta here and take me home..." Robby whimpered, wondering if his words could even reach them. Sick of feeling like a mere crumb in Rupert's mouth, Robby decided to take a stand: he bit firmly into one of the giant tastebuds. "!" The sensation registered through Rupert. It felt like an ant biting his tongue; small, but shocking. "PBBTH!" Rupert's natural reaction was to spit him right out. "RUPERT!" Timmy yelped in shock. "He bit my tongue..." Rupert rubbed the sore spot on the roof. "I didn't see where he landed!" "Huh? Um..." The boys skimmed the grass in search of any damp spots. Having lost his senses upon landing, Robby found himself in a forest of grass, each blade at least 100 feet. Above those blades were colorful mountains that would take forever to climb... and stretching above them were titans of unfathomable size. Only now did Robby feel the scale of his insignificance between Timmy's sneakers. Firm and durable, strong shoes that could spell the end of any insects beneath their cleats. "Tch...man, this isn't good." Timmy said, finding no sign of their classmate amidst the grass. "I'm too scared to move, I might step on him." Fortunately, his decision to stay put worked in Robby's favor. He had enough time to climb the mountainous shoe and reach Timmy's black sock. Perhaps if he could get the leg to itch, Timmy would know to pick him up there... Unfortunately, little Robby lost his grip and took the plunge. In his fruitless efforts to grab back onto the sock, he wound up falling into the trench between it and the lip of Timmy's shoe. Darkness surrounded him, the outside world appearing as only a sliver of light. "Hmmmm..." Rupert crouched down, searching the area around Timmy's shoes. He found no sign of motion amongst the grass, no matter how much he skimmed. Getting frustrated, the blonde pulled up into a sit. "Man, this stinks. That's what he gets for biting me..." "Come on, dude, keep trying! I don't wanna stand here all day..." Wanting to flex his stiff muscles at least a little, he raised his left foot and bent it back. "AAAAAAHH!" Robby's surface shifted vertically, the tiny plunging deeper into darkness. And when Timmy set his foot back in place, Robby was smooshed beneath a mountain of fabric. This was, without doubt, the lowest any human child could sink. Going from an ant in the woods, to a crumb in Rupert's mouth, and now a piece of dirt beneath Timmy's foot. Helpless beneath his own classmate's weight, Robby could only cry. It was so humid. Damp. Smelly. He knew he would die at any minute... whether through loss of oxygen, or when Timmy took a single good step. Timmy wore these sneakers almost every day, a simple fact Robby gave little thought for... so, never once did he think one would be his grave. He wondered how the two giants looked right now... did they even care that much, or would they forget they ever saw Robby here? Timmy felt a little discrepancy within his shoe. It wasn't a tickle... more of a small itch. There was probably no real cause behind it; his body would get minor itches every so often. All it took was a little rub to get rid of it. Of course, since it was on the bottom of his foot, he hoped to extinguish it with a light stomp. ...Although, it only just crossed his mind that Robby could be in there. No, how could that be? Did he find a tiny gap in his sneaker big enough to crawl in? Or... did he try to climb his leg and accidentally fell in? Robby hoped that enough squirming would eventually alert Timmy to his current location... but his efforts were met with a light, yet forceful stomp. He remained smothered in the damp, musty darkness. Why would Timmy just stomp like that without making sure it was Robby? Did he simply not consider Robby would be in there? ...Or did Timmy resign to just squishing out this little problem and pretending they saw nothing? Did they decide Robby wasn't worth the effort? He never thought they would stoop to such an option... but now that the idea was there, Robby felt more insignificant than ever. Alt: "Please, just get me outta here and take me home..." Robby whimpered, wondering if his words could even reach them. Unfortunately, Rupert made an itty-bitty oopsie when bobbing Robby around inside his mouth: he felt the need to swallow as any human passively does. "Gulp." But he didn't expect the force of his swallow to be strong enough to slurp Robby down into gullet. "!" Rupert flushed, realizing what he'd done. "AAAAAAHHH!" Robby was helpless to the titanic wave of saliva, washing him into the darkness. He panicked and cried as the flesh of Rupert's throat contorted to allow him entry. He couldn't believe he was inside his classmate's throat right now. All these complex muscles and shapes, these were all that lied inside the average human neck. Robby hoped that if he fought enough, he could tickle Rupert's throat, cause a gag reflex to spit himself back up, but he was too tiny to accomplish such a feat. Soon, Robby felt himself fall. His voice echoed throughout the damp abyss of Rupert's tummy. "RUPERT!" Timmy screamed. "Did you just...?!" "Uhhh..." Rupert's heart began to race, worry flooding him. He just wanted to play around a little, he never considered eating Robby, let alone what would happen if he accidentally did. "Hmmm..." He gently poked his belly with his index finger. "Hey! Robby? Can you hear me in there?" The cavern walls rumbled under the light tapping, reverberating under their owner's voice. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to eat you. But we'll get you outta there. Don't worry." Robby thought he would be dead by now... and yet, the stomach seemed relatively clear of acids. Why? Is it because Rupert knows he swallowed something he didn't mean to? Because his conscious mind didn't want to digest it, the acids cleared away? Robby didn't know enough about the human body to make such a claim, but it was all that came to mind. "W-Wait! I know how we can get him out." "How?!" Rupert withdrew a bottle of water he'd been using. Refreshing on summer days like this, he puckered his lips to the bottle's mouth and slurped it up. "Gulp, gulp, gulp..." "Huh?!" Before Robby knew it, a waterfall was pouring into the cavern, flooding it like a swimming pool. "Alright, let's hurry to the bathroom!" Rupert said, beginning to jog back home. Robby could see a tunnel open to let the water through. ...So, this is what Rupert was planning. Well, he guessed it was the safer way out. Still, weird as it sounded in this situation, the water was pretty refreshing. Robby hadn't had a good drink ever since shrinking. The air was too warm on his little body. Taking a dip in a pool like this is just what he needed. And, even weirder still... he almost felt closer to Rupert. Rupert's apology felt sincere, and he was thankful Rupert was in a hurry to get him out. And thinking back, Rupert and Timmy were the only kids to really give Robby attention. They were almost his friends, in a way. One thing was certain though: after experiencing Rupert in this vastly bizarre perspective, Robby couldn't imagine growing closer with anyone else. But so long as those two were willing to help him grow back to normal, Robby was fine with it. All he could do now was ride the river to the light at the end of the tunnel. Game Over Little Sam was a tiny boy who lived in the walls of Jordan's house. He would always watch Jordan play games on his Switch, a happy smile on his face. He always seemed to be having fun, and he always seemed like a nice kid. Sam really wanted to be friends with Jordan, as they were close to the same age. The only thing stopping him was the immense size difference. His parents always cautioned Sam to never step out into the giants' home; if they were spotted, they would simply be mistaken for ants and ended then and there. It was simply impossible for tiny humans to be friends or even socialize with the giants. Still, Sam didn't want to live in fear his whole life. Even if he couldn't play games with Jordan, he would at least like to be on his shoulder and watch them. He at least wanted Jordan to be aware of his existence. So, one day, the itty-bitty boy made the perilous climb up Jordan's bed. Crossing the forest of carpet fibers and climbing the blanket took hours. Whenever Jordan walked in and out of the room, or climbed on his own bed, Sam held on tight, as Jordan's simple movements caused tremendous quakes to the tiny kid. Finally, he was on top of the bed, and since Jordan was again playing his Switch, this seemed like a good time. And yet, it may take even longer still. This was Sam's first time being so close to Jordan. In fact, he couldn't even see Jordan's head past his socked feet, the size of vertical mountains that cast an ominous, imposing shadow. Sam looked at his own feet, then up at Jordan's, giving himself a general idea of the sheer difference in scale. To think they were both biologically human. Sam truly felt insignificant in his presence. Still, he had already come this far, so he had to make it. He walked around to the side of the right foot and began to climb the sock. He made it on top and could now clearly see Jordan's happy, gargantuan face. He began to cross the vast, peach leg, but the movement of Sam's tiny feet tickled the leg only slightly. Jordan reacted by brushing the leg with his other foot. It was a gentle motion, yet powerful enough to blow Sam all the way to the toes. Jordan subconsciously angled his legs up with the left foot propped above the other, Sam freezing in fear as he believed he was about to be smothered. Still, Jordan had stopped himself, but was still clearly unaware of the trauma he was putting someone through. Sam panicked and gasped heavily under the shadow of the leaning foot. So, this was the true power of a "normal" human. Even when Jordan made the same average motions that Sam would on a boring day, it was just enough to remind his tiny race of their place. "...I...I have to keep going..." No matter the difference in power, Sam would keep trying. He didn't care if he was insignificant, he just wanted Jordan to notice him. He wanted to try and talk with him like humans do. He was already so far in his journey, he couldn't just turn back now. So, with a courageous breath, Sam ran out of the shadow of Jordan's foot, returning to the light where the giant's friendly face, the goal that was yet miles away and above, was just within sight. The simple wiggling of Jordan's toes caused little Sam to fall, crying loudly as though falling from a vast mountain. "Huh?" Jordan didn't know why, but he thought his sensitive eardrums picked up on a sound. It sounded like... some kind of very faint, high-pitched squeal. He looked around a bit, wondering if there was a bug somewhere, but couldn't find it. He continued to be unaware of the itty-bitty boy who just wanted to be his friend, denied once again by Jordan's own socks. "Yaaaaawwwwnn..." Jordan had grown tired from playing his game, and Sammy could feel the great titan about to pass out for a nap. Sam could hardly believe a body of such tremendous mass could get tired from simply doing nothing; compared to the exhausting effort and ordeals Sam had scaled to get this far, Jordan should have exerted no real energy from simply pressing buttons or boredly repositioning his legs. But little Sammy cowered as Jordan's eclipsing sock tilted over, covering him in its shadow. Even though the giant remained totally unaware of his existence, it felt like his own foot kept reminding Sam that he was unworthy to be Jordan's friend, and that he should just accept his menial existence. But before long, Jordan would be fast asleep. Maybe Sam could use this chance to make it to Jordan's ear before he awoke again. ...Then again, Sam was getting very tired as well, as if the aura of the sleepy giant were clouding over him. If only there was a safe place to sleep... What can I do for him? Danny had been in a fight with his best friend, Jeremy. Jeremy said he was an idiot, said he was unreliable, all because he broke the disc of a game Jeremy had lent him. Well, there were other incidents that built up to this, but this one really broke Jeremy's chain. For several hours, Danny would just sit on his bed, legs arched up, and hang his head shamefully. "What can I do to make it up to him..." Little did Danny know that Jeremy was in his very room. One of their other friends, Carmine had caught on to the fight and talked to Jeremy. Jeremy argued for his side of the conflict, but Carmine stated that he had to apologize. When he refused to listen, Carmine had no choice but to shrink Jeremy with her very own shrink ray. Now, Jeremy was the size of a teeny-tiny ant. Helpless to do anything, Carmine scooped Jeremy up and had him brought to Danny's room in secret. He was placed on the table, thinking Danny would eventually notice him. Still, that would take a while with Danny in this depressed state. He couldn't believe how huge Danny looked from this view. His own friend... whom he hurt. Danny's heart was heavy, so he wore only his light pajama clothes. He couldn't get under the covers because he would feel too hot, but the air of his room was kind of cold, so his knees and face flushed. He sat up in a tense way, merely quivering in place, but unable to move. So, this is what Jeremy's words had done to him. This was the state Jeremy left him in. He felt horrible. He felt small. Danny just looked so vulnerable and helpless because of the words his own friend delivered to him... but in reality, Jeremy was even more vulnerable and helpless. Both boys needed each other to get better. Jeremy had to apologize. If only Danny would get up and see him... or maybe Jeremy should make the journey himself. Eventually, Danny found Jeremy, the best friend who hurt him with his words. He wasn't sure what to say... it should be stunning to find your own friend shrunken on your own table, but Danny's feelings were in disarray right now. Disregarding the fact Jeremy was small, Danny could only ask, "How did you get here?" "Um... Carmine did this to me." Jeremy answered. "Um... I... wanted to apologize." "Oh..." That was the ideal outcome Danny wanted... but his feelings weren't quite ready to turn, yet. His heart and mind had conceived too many angles for them to go right back to normal. For now, he could only stare at Jeremy. Stare at the boy who put him down this path. "Y-yeah... so, um, can you help me? Carmine said she won't change me back until we make up." "Oh...yeah, I guess I should. If I don't, I guess I'm an idiot... and unreliable." Jeremy winced. Yes, those were the words that Jeremy called him. "Danny, you're...you're not like that." "Really? Sure sounded like I was." Danny began to show a tinge of anger. He had only seemed depressed this whole time and wanting to be friends again... but now Jeremy learned that friendship wouldn't come back easy. "I...I was just angry, okay? I said it without thinking. But, you're my friend. I can always count on you for help if I really need it. And I really need your help now." "Right... not very useful when you're puny." "Come on, Danny, please? I'll find some way to make it up to you. I wanna be friends again." "Sigh...I just don't know, man." "Well, I can't stay like this. Isn't there something I can do? Anything?" Danny considered it. Seeing Jeremy so small... his hurtful friend dependent on him... Danny could do just about anything. "So, she used one of those new shrink rays, right? The ones with the safety functions?" "Um... yeah?" "..." Danny took Jeremy in his fingers, raising him to his eyes. "Hey! Easy!" Jeremy flailed, his sense of relative calmness going away as soon as his friend's abrupt grip too him. "You really hurt me, Jeremy. I don't know how to let these feelings out of me. But maybe I can swallow them." "D-Danny?" The dark-haired boy opened his mouth. He brought Jeremy closer. "Hey, hey, Danny!" Jeremy was pressed against his own friend's tongue, cringing with disgust. He couldn't believe what was happening. He couldn't believe their tense moment had evolved into... this. The tongue bent up, and Jeremy gasped as the fingers released him. "Danny, HEY! WHAT'RE YOU-" As Jeremy was quickly drawn into the closing mouth, the faintest smile formed on Danny's lips. "AAH!" Beginning to panic, Jeremy grabbed the end of Danny's tongue. "Danny, please don't eat me! I'm sorry for what I said, I mean it!" "Mmmmmm..." Danny didn't know why he did this. He could've asked anything of the tiny Jeremy, made him beg to be restored to normal... and placing Jeremy into his mouth was the first thing that came to mind. Now, his best friend was inside him. It was a surreal sensation. He could only move his tongue around Jeremy at every angle, as if to properly process the fact that his own friend, who had hurt his feelings, who sent his emotions into a spiral, was now actually trapped in his mouth. Jeremy couldn't believe it either. Couldn't believe he was being handled by Danny's own tongue. Just yesterday, they were the same size. A couple days before that, they had argued, and Jeremy hurt him. Just now, he was small, helpless under Danny's gaze. Now their friendship had evolved to this. He was already afraid of speaking to Danny in such a pathetic state... but he never expected to go this far. Ball Park Lunch "Hey, David, have you seen Jason around?" "He went to the bathroom a while ago!" "'kay, well he better hurry up! Now, back to you..." That was Richard's only interruption from his hotdog. With the mild concern of his friend's whereabouts satisfied, the sandy-blonde boy smiled down at the treat. But little did he know that the very friend he asked for was wedged in the hotdog's mustard. Jason had borrowed David's shrink ray to play around with it, but it was stolen by a bully during his bathroom trip. Jason was zapped to a size smaller than an ant, rendering him completely powerless. The bully could've done anything to him, but all he did was take a deep breath and send Jason away with the wind. Where else would he wind up but the school festival's hotdog stand? And who else would buy that hotdog but his very own best friend? "RICHARD! HEY! I'M DOWN HERE! RICHAAAARRRRD!" Richard had no chance of hearing him over the festival's commotion, and there was nothing to delude him from savoring his treat. Jason couldn't believe what he was seeing... the inside of his best friend's mouth was like a portal to another world. It were like Jason were riding a fantastical, flying island into the gaping gateway. Richard, the boy he played with every day, the friend he had so much fun with, he was about to see a whole new side to him. "Homp~" Jason couldn't believe how fast and sudden the maw came down, closing over that chunk of the hotdog and completely severing it from this realm. Richard's little mouth curved into a smile as a light stream of saliva leaked out, along with the tip of his satisfied tongue. Right now, Jason's friend was in momentary euphoria as the food traveled down his gullet. But Jason knew that the next bite would be for him. He would have to think fast, or he would wind up in the bottom of his best buddy's big belly. Only one thing weighed on his mind: "RICHARD! I'M NOT PAYING YOU BACK YOUR 20 DOLLARS AFTER THIIIIIIIS!" Lollipop How did Perry get so small? That was a question he'd like answered. But that didn't matter. What mattered was that he was even smaller than an ant, in the middle of the playground. After misadventure and misadventure of trying to get the attention of his titan-sized peers, little Perry wound up on something gargantuan and pink. Perry almost thought he had wound up on a different planet with how round it was, though real planets are much bigger. ...! But the size of this "planet" wasn't anything compared to the utter horror that loomed over him: it was Harry. It was one of Perry's very own friends... and right now, he was about to blissfully enjoy a pink lollipop. Harry would always be found suckling a lollipop. The simple sweet brought such delight to the innocent youth. Perry would always smile seeing Harry eat them. It was just a sweet and cute habit. And whenever Perry asked, Harry would share them. How could such a sweet, innocent habit look so horrible? Unless Perry himself were part of the treat. "HARRY! HARRY! NO! NOOOOOOO!" Harry's eyes were already closed, another habit of his when enjoying his favorite candy. Perry's only hope was to shout, but it was utterly drowned out by the reverberation of his simple, "Aaaaaahhhhh~~~" In seconds, he couldn't even see Harry's eyes. Only the inside of his gaping maw grew ever more expansive. "EEEEWWWWWWW!" Perry cried from sheer disgust when Harry's tongue met the surface of the sweet. Saliva drowned him... and then, darkness enveloped him. "Hmm, hm hm, hmmmmm~" Harry sealed the lollipop in a kiss. He hummed a little tune as he subconsciously glanced around. Nothing else mattered in the world when he was enjoying his sweet. The flavor danced around his tastebuds, making his mouth happy. "Aaaaahh~" Naturally, Harry had to take a breath. He opened his mouth and pulled the drool-covered candy out. The remnants of flavor were spread amongst his tongue... and little did he know that his own friend, eensy-weensy Perry, was laying half-drowned on his tongue. Perry couldn't believe he just survived... he wasn't even sure what he went through. But he should know: when a lollipop was in your mouth, you wrap your tongue around it several times over at every angle. Perry did this always when tasting one. He imagined himself doing just that, and knew that was the very experience he endured. Harry's tongue was like a hurricane wildly throwing him around. Perry flew all around the pink planet under the whim of his friend's tastes. Perry was exhausted... he was miserable... Seeing Harry enjoy lollipops was always so heartwarming, but now it was utter misery. He was practically sinking in the tongue and the saliva, and he knew there was no way Harry would find him. Pulling himself up, the only sight that splayed before him was the darkness of Harry's throat. Soon, the lollipop would return to his mouth, destined to be drawn into that darkness like a black hole. And Perry feared he would end up in that same darkness... all while his friend hummed innocently, unaware that he was dooming Perry to his appetite. Lost in the Gym It was time for gym class, but of course, I was too small to participate. My best friend put me under the bench where I could be safe. I watched him exercise his heart out, pumping sweat and adrenaline, building muscles I could never hope to have. "Huff...huff...sigh..." My friend returned to his seat above me. He began to take off his shoes and socks to air his feet out. I decided to walk out for him to see me, climbing onto his laying sock. But just as I looked up at him-- "AAAH!" he unknowingly put his toe down on top of me. It wasn't enough pressure to squish me, but the sweat glued me to his toe as he propped his foot up on the heel. The smell was overbearing, but I began trying to climb up onto the toe. In truth, I hated being on the floor, especially so close to my friend's bare foot. It made me feel like a small piece of dirt. When I made it on top of his trim toenail, Dillon was waving his hand by his face to cool himself, unaware that he had just stepped on me. From here, he was like a great, divine being, and I was mere dirt on his foot. Eventually, he saw me, and I explained what happened. "Man, I'm really sorry." he said with earnest regret. "You really need to be careful. I put you under there so you wouldn't get squished." "I know, but I...I just wanted to be picked up. I hate being down there." Dillon sighed, looking more regretful. "You're right... I should be more careful myself. I'm really sorry I stepped on you, I'll make it up to you." "Okay... thanks, Dillon." I was still damp and smelled from his sweat, so I didn't feel better right away. But Dillon made it a point to wash himself whenever possible so he wouldn't poison me with his scent, and he worked harder to keep me off the floor. Despite that little accident, Dillon tried to treat and respect me like a fellow human being, and I was thankful for that. Snack Time Robby and Kenny used to be best friends... until a recent argument put a rift in their friendship. They had gone a few days without talking, but Kenny started to feel bad. Knowing the argument started because of him, he decided to go to Robby's house and apologize. Robby answered the door, clothed in a white hoodie as though he were going somewhere, yet was wearing his light house shorts and no shoes. The bag of vanilla wafers in hand indicated he was in the middle of snack time. Kenny apologized for what he said, but Robby's droll expression didn't change. Kenny expected it wouldn't be that easy... but that's why he came with a little gift. Kenny had borrowed a shrink ray from one of their classmates. There were few in stock, so they liked to show it off. Kenny aimed the ray gun at himself and pulled the trigger. The calm, quiet afternoon was ruptured by the bright and loud flash of Robby's own friend shrinking to the size of an ant. The ray landed on the porch beside him. Kenny needed a moment to take in the sight of Robby from this phenomenal perspective. His feet, bare on the porch as they twitched with Robby's discomfort and sensitivity, threw Kenny into knockback seeing how big they had gotten. The entire basis of their argument had been about Robby's poor performance in gym; Kenny would get angry that Robby doesn't pull his weight in the team activities. That's why it might've satisfied Robby to see him in such an unfit, insignificant state. He wanted to believe that his former friend wouldn't hurt him; he only did this thinking it would make Robby feel better, seeing the boy who had hurt him in such a vulnerable state. But it was actually kind of scary when put into practice. "Hmmm..." Robby's somber, conflicting feelings had been replaced with curiosity. He read Kenny's intentions for doing this... and this very gesture alone compelled Robby to forgive him already. But... no reason not to savor this moment. "Well, you ain't gonna be pulling no weight when you have no weight to pull." Robby said. "Looks like you need to start exercising, Kenny." Robby scooped Kenny onto his fingernail and sat on a porch chair. Kenny cringed in repulse as his friend carefully set him between his own enormous toes. "I bet even my toes are stronger than you~" Kenny's challenge was made clear: as Robby bent his toes together with a gentle, menial squeeze, Kenny was required to push them. "Huuuuurrrr..." Pressing either arm to either side, the two microscopic limbs were nothing to the bulk of the twin digits. His only hope was to put his whole body in, his elbows against one toe and his legs against the other, pushing with all his might. Robby's toes possessed a typical odor, but were otherwise clean from being inside and airing out all day. His nails were of a smooth trim. It was hard to believe the small, average, and gentle digits that belonged to his own friend could give him such a challenge. All the while, Robby sat on his chair and crunched vanilla wafers, the heel of that very foot propped and angled up on the porch. Anyone walking by would just think he's an ordinary boy enjoying his day off, not bothering anyone and thinking to himself. But when Kenny was eventually returned to normal, the friends would certainly view each other in a new light. Super Cute Harry and Kellie were the best of friends in the 3rd grade. Both were silly, both loved to play, they both always laughed, and both thought the other was adorable! But Kellie's whole world changed after she was shrunk to the size of an ant. She had gotten just a bit too close to that exotic plant on the field trip. The sight of her gigantic classmates was terrifying, especially as they all crowded around to observe her fragile form. Only one boy reached his hand down to give her sanctuary: Harry himself. Kellie didn't want to stay with anyone else during this difficult time. But as she settled into Harry's room, the boy kind and gentle with her at every turn, her heart warmed up to the situation. Harry's smile, his nice voice, even standing on his cute, tender finger made Kellie's life a joy. The steady realization that her adorable, lovable best friend's features had been magnified by a thousand, the more her tiny heart as sent aflutter. On the second night, Harry tucked Kellie safely in his bellybutton. Shortly after morning touched the blonde boy's eyes, he uncovered his torso. "Good morning, Kellie!" He pulled up his shirt, leaning over his tummy. "...Huh?" However, the naval was completely vacant. "K-Kellie?" He looked down his collar, but she wasn't on his chest. "Kellie, where are you?!" He peeked inside his shorts, felt his neck, picked his nose, and patted his hair. Growing scared, he sat on his knees and spun around, searching the bed. "Oh, man! Where could she...?" A little tickle coursed through his foot, prompting a twitch. Harry began to feel a small weight on his sole. "!" Harry quickly sat down and carefully pulled off his left sock. Harry found her at last: Kellie was clinging his sole, just under the index toe. She was nervous and panting from his earlier motions. "Kellie! W-What were you doing in there?!" "S-Sorry, Harry... I...I was trying to tickle you." "T-Tickle me?" Harry blushed, pointing at himself. A little sweatdrop of confusion trickled down him. "Yeah... I thought it'd be a fun way to wake you, teehee!" "Oh... Still, you scared me, Kellie. I coulda squished you." "I'm sorry, Harry..." It was a bit reckless when she thought about it. Just look at the size of his... foot. Now that he was sockless in the light, Kellie only now fathomed how huge his foot was. Each toe completely dwarfed her... each small, round, squishy toe. She had never seen his feet up close, but now that she was in this weird and very rare position... he was even cuter. "Mmmmmmm!" Kellie could almost bury herself in the sole. "Harry! You're so soft and squishyyyyyy!" It was like hugging an enormous marshmallow, its pungent scent completely enveloping her. "Harry, your wittle footsie's so cutie!! I wanna pinch your wittle toesie-woesies!" "Hahahahaha!" Kellie was having the most fun she's ever had! It made Harry so happy to see her like this! She was too cute! He almost wanted to bring his other foot closer and give her all the squishy she wanted! None of them would ever forget what they were feeling right now: their friendship had taken a massively different perspective, and their hearts completely melted for the other's affection. Donut Hole Justin was all set to enjoy his doughnut today. It was always his tradition whenever they were served at the cafeteria. But that's exactly what a certain somebody was counting on. "Heeeeey! Justiiiiiin!" "Huh?" It had always been a habit of his to peer through the hole of every doughnut he ate. It wasn't much more than a passive quirk he had. But this quirk may have just saved his friend's life. "Hahaha! You found me!" Perry had been shrunk by a bully. The size of an ant, he was abandoned at school yesterday and had no visible hope of anyone seeing him. This plan was a long shot, but it paid off. He hurried to the cafeteria because he knew they would be preparing doughnuts for tomorrow. He waited on the dessert area until they would inevitably arrive. Then, he would wait for his friend to come. Once he saw Justin's hands reaching for some doughnuts, Perry would quickly grab on one of them and ride off with it. Perry quickly climbed into the hole of that doughnut. Everything else went as predicted. There was that predictable stare he knew, and there was that glimmer of recognition. Who would've thought that such a random, harmless, inconsequential quirk could be Perry's salvation? Justin's eyes possessed a rare, lovely, rainbow hue. Perry had never known how pretty his eyes were until their very gaze became his beacon of hope. Those rainbow irises beautifully highlighted the flavor and sweetness of the very doughnuts he loved. They were like enormous marbles... and Perry's figure was reflected in the posh glass. It let him know full well that Justin was aware of him and had every intention to help. "If you're done staring, it'd be nice if you could get the teachers!" Perry yelled humorously. Pet "Wow... he's so small." Max said, awed as he looked over the little box. Its floor was lain with a soft towel, a dish of water and a potato chip on one side and a clean, gray sock along another. "How did this happen?" "He said that Mack shrunk him. But it's not like we can easily confront him about it. At least he'll be safe here for now." Justin replied, calm as he skimmed videos on his phone. "How'd you even find him?" "He was on one of the donuts at school. He knew I liked donuts, so he was hoping I'd find him." "Really? Man, dude, what if you got eaten?" "I mean, just about any plan I had could've ended up dying." Perry reasoned, even though he knew his voice wouldn't reach at this distance. The main reason he gambled with Justin is because he had a habit of lazily studying his donuts before eating them. Perry relied on that habit to be noticed, and his plan paid off. "But yeah, you can take him out and talk to him if you want." Justin said, putting on a video as his headphones drowned out everything else. "Just be careful." Perry slowly grew warm and used to his temporary home. A simple little shoe box, placed cleanly on his friend's homework desk. Beyond the box's perimeter was a pen, homework, and drawings, as well as two cups of cocoa Justin prepared for either. These ordinary things in this ordinary room made Perry feel so small... as did the two peers whom Perry could see only from shoulder up. A safe and reasonable height as opposed to the instability of the floor. Twilight shone through the window, casting soft shadows over a soft environment. Justin had no other plans of action, so he relaxed his mind and whittled away the time with videos. And Max simply stood there, gazing at Perry, slowly ridding the shock, accepting the situation, and glad that his friend was content and okay. He felt safe, knowing these friends were with him, spending the evening under the same roof as they usually do. Why, this very gray sock was Perry's own, left here at Justin's after one of their hangouts. Justin would groan at his friend for leaving his scent on the floor... and he figured Perry would feel more comfortable sleeping in a scent he was used to. It sure gave Perry a laugh to imagine his own small feet at such a big scale. But small or not, Perry's sock still fit him well, gave him the warmth he needed. It made him more eager to grow big, so the sock fit him properly. But what made this place warmer, besides the two cups of cocoa, were the two friends drinking them. Keita Elfin was an extremely tiny Yokai who always hid in fear of titanic predators. Elfin sought shelter within an ordinary human house, not expecting to be found by its tremendous residents. But, as the tiny Yokai wandered into a bedroom, a pair of socked feet, the size of fluffy mountains, stomped toward him, generating harmless vibrations in the floor. Little Elfin craned his neck back in terror: he had thought the owner of the feet would simply pass over him to tend to their errand... but the titan had in fact stopped. "A new Yokai? Nice!" He was an ordinary human child, his face radiating with kidlike innocence. His right foot had frozen over Elfin midstep. Before Elfin could think, the foot came down. The weight of his sock was like that of a mountain, but softer. Actually, it felt kind of warm, like being crushed under an enormous cozy mattress. But Elfin knew this was only the beginning of the kid's step. It was instinct for any human to squish a bug, and a tiny Yokai was no different in that respect. But then the foot rose. Underneath its dark shadow, Elfin looked up in mild shock. The boy seemed to look at him with a hint of sympathy and curiosity. "Hmm... Just play with him?" Elfin braced himself as the titan took a seat on the floor, the quake bouncing Elfin onto his feet. The boy's socks were now positioned up like twin cliffs. "Fine! I'm ready!" Looking up at the innocent youth was like looking up at a childish god. He could feel the socks closing in, as if to hug him in their warm, cozy embrace. Yet, Elfin felt no intention to kill on the human's part. The human only held the desire to play. Of all the titanic beasts and even humans Elfin had encountered, this boy felt the purest of all of them. His feet weren't hard and threatening, they were soft and welcoming. Elfin felt that he could stay put and embrace all the fluff the socks had to offer. Elfin was in paradise. The second Keita's little finger tapped the tiny to the sole of his sock, it was all warm feelings from there. Elfin clung the sock, cuddled with it, and basked in every bit of its warmth. He climbed all the way up to the toes, his heart racing in excitement from Keita's simple wiggles. "Don't worry. I won't crush you. I will be careful." Keita's words reverberated with such innocence and truth. Elfin never thought he would find a human like this. A soul so tender, so pure, in the form of a sweet little boy. Elfin could feel Keita's kindness coursing through him. He squeezed the sock tighter, never wanting to let go. It was such a lovely, snowy white. Well, it was rather dark in the shade of the eclipsing giant, but it was a calm shade nonetheless. The sock was pure and clean like its owner. "Haha, you're so tiny. Are you still there? I can't even feel you." Indeed, Elfin could feel himself disappearing. Sinking into the sock's fluff. The tiny Yokai had always been unsure of his own existence. He always felt like nothing. Just an insignificant presence in a vast, dangerous, and overwhelming world. All the giants he had encountered further reminded him of his menial place. But here, on Keita's sock... he found a place where he truly belonged. He could just sleep... forever and ever... Become one with the clothing... and feel the joy in Keita's steps every single day. |
