The story takes place in the year 2035, eleven years since first contact with the five alien teenagers.

An unannounced welcome dance on the human's vessel hull by sentient bees was misinterpreted as a swarm attack and the five children were launched away from the ship in escape pods. This quickly turns into a potentially disastrous intergalactic incident.

Crystal finds herself on Planet Hyve where drones sent by a pirate alliance are stealing honey and fruit from the inhabitants. She finds a way to fight back and brings the Insecta and Flora into the galactic spotlight.

Sonny finds himself on Planet Silicon Prime where automated platforms are stealing spice and crystals from the inhabitant's deserts. He finds a way to domesticate the Vibration Worms so they stop the platforms and brings the Rockers into the Galactic spotlight.

Auburn finds herself on Planet Primalla where the council worlds are dumping their obsolete technology and ships on the inhabitants. She finds a way to turn obsolete technology into tech better than the newest innovations bringing the Primallans into the Galactic spotlight.

Gale finds himself on Planet Second Earth where the inhabitants have forgotten their past. He helps the Mythos rediscover their past and advanced technology, bringing them into the Galactic spotlight.

Luna finds herself on Planet Goliath where automated mining machines are stealing the inhabitants resources. She helps the Specks build a fleet of humanoid ships to confront the Galactic council as diplomats and bring the Speck into the Galactic spotlight.

All this combined ascends the junior diplomats into full fledged diplomats between Earth and the worlds they had encountered.
