Background story Contest

Inside the massive Galactic Council chambers, all three hundred representatives of the council worlds gathered to hear the head of the council,Racnorac (Rack- nor- rack) address the members of the council. In the seats of interest, a place for the subject or subjects of the meeting sits, were the representatives of the five overlooked world in the system the Galactic Council space station was built and used. Racnorac shifted a few papers on his podium then began.

"Eleven years ago, a concerned adolescent, named Vada from the planet Dylax, (Die-lax) investigated an anomaly in the jump gate and discovered the powerful engines that keep the jump gates in place also open random wormholes. One such worm hole sent Vada to planet Earth where he met humanity. While on Earth, he discovered that humanity was very close to a technological leap and helped them cross that threshold."

Racnorac took a sip of water and continued. "A curious telepathic adolescent named Diron from floating islands high above planet Teranor (Tear-a-nor) found himself accidentally ejected from an exploration vessel that crashed on Earth. His iteration with the humans unlocked humanity's long dormant telepathic abilities bringing about a clear road to world peace."

Racnorac paused, seeing the five representatives listening intently, curious as to where the speech was going, and continued. "A young sentient robot named Era from the planet of Digitex (di-gee-Tex) discovered an ancient relic on a student archeological dig that activated a quantum gate. This gate pulled Era through to an archeological dig on Earth. Her interactions with humans activated long hidden advanced cities which rose from enormous quantum gates proving that not only is humanity far older than anyone thought but that ancient humanity had given the people of Digitex life and sentience."

The five representatives of the overlooked worlds turned to each other, shocked but also in awe as Racnorac again continued. "Her majesty, princess Kyteen (Kitten) of the world Purrearth (Purr-earth) was kidnapped by a rival kingdom only to find themselves in the fight of their lives. This led them to accidentally trigger the same wormhole Vada had discovered which led them to Earth. Princess Kyteen's interaction with humans showed that their legends were real and living on Second Earth."

Racnorac again shifted papers then continued. "Another adolescent named Atrace (A-trace) from the planet Croctna (Croc-tea-nah) found herself on Earth due to a navigation error that opened a previously unknown cloaked jump gate that took her to Earth. Her interactions with humanity proved ancient humanity was far more powerful than anyone could remember. She also discovered humanity learned to fly through teleportation.

Racnorac then turned her attention to the five representatives in the seats of interest. "This brings us to the recent events on the five planets we the council have arrogantly dubbed either primitive or uninhabited. An Earth delegation of five diplomats, each with one of their offspring came to the previously named Council neutral system to discuss their place within in the council of worlds. This was a historic event that could have become a disaster due to the council's own hubris. A surprise welcome dance from the Insecta hivemind triggered a panic on the human vessel leading to the children of the delegates to be launched into escape pods. Each pod went to a different world. The children's interactions with these worlds opened the eyes of the council to the overlooked worlds. Let us welcome them to the Galactic council as full fledged members of the Galactic union."

Cheers rose from the delegates as the five representative were then escorted to their seats within the chamber.
