There is good and evil in everything…

The moon, Luna- the object of all poetic reflection, a simile for beauty, for peace and tranquility, for light in the dark, a symbol of hope…

To my own surprise- as someone who has been fascinated by the moon, gazing for hours and hours on end should time permit- a reading of a book brought to my attention a much darker aspect of the moon, a much more sinister denotation, even if only literary, even if yet to be proven…

The chaos of the moon, in otherwise tranquil waters- pulling up the tides, both in the oceans, and within us… a subtle partaking in lunacy, a subtle sabotaging of sleep… a fore-bearer of monstrous transformation…

Its light- a light said to be more helpful to the attacker than to the resistor, more an aid to the culprit than to the victim…

Debatable, yes, but one thing is certain…

Nothing is pure black, and nothing is pure white…
Whether humans, objects or the sum-total of life as a whole..
We have evil within us, alongside the good- and life a constant war between either to come out and manifest…

Seek refuge from the evil that resides within and without, and pray for the strength to bring out the goodness that undoubtedly lies within…🌸
