He got a job offer
Made an application
For the immigration visa.

Booked a sea container
To ship to Canada.

Including a couple of barrels
Of mixed pickles
From California’s
Orville Pickle Factory.

Self-proclaimed
pickle capitol of the world.
He knew he would
miss his mixed pickles.

With mixed emotion,
He said goodbye
To his Californian neighbors
And friends.
