Guilty Gullet (Bradbury Week 3)

Lisa hunted for the shrunken man who was loose in her bedroom. He ran for his life, knowing it would be certain doom if she captured him. He ran behind her dresser, but she was able to knock it over and corner him between the dresser and the corner of the room.

She pounced on him, and grasped him in her right hand.

“You’re going on a one way trip down my gullet! How does it feel to know you’re about to become my next meal?”

Lisa stood upright, held the shrunken man above her head, and opened her mouth wide. She dropped him, and he fell into her waiting tongue. Her mouth closed around him, and she forced him to the back of her mouth with her tongue.

She swallowed, sending the inch tall captive down her esophagus. Lisa lifted her shirt to reveal her belly, and giggled uncontrollably.

Suddenly, the room seemed to spin around. Lisa tried to hold onto something, but everything went black.

Lisa awakened on a gurney, attached to a mind control device. Her probation officer had been watching everything that occurred in her mind on a monitor over her head. Lisa reflexively pulled the cables from her head, and the sticky attachments came off as she sat upright. It was then that she remembered that she had volunteered for a mind control experiment to prove she had been rehabilitated.

“Lisa,” her probation officer began, “you were placed on probation for swallowing shrunken people, and after watching the video I can only conclude that you’ll re-offend. I have no choice but to extend your probation for another year!”

“It’s not fair!” Lisa shouted. “You can’t decide my potential actions based on a mind control experiment!”

“I can, and I just did.”

The probation officer turned and exited the room.
