Prayer of Surrender

Creator,

By Your design was I born.

By Your love have I endured.

You have shown me You are here, with me, guiding me when I need guidance, carrying me when I could not walk.

I struggle, Creator. I wish to always be reminded that I cannot carry these burdens without You. They are heavy and I fail to keep afloat.

I wish for Your help. Take me. All of me.

Take my thoughts and show me clarity.

Take my words and remove their poison.

Take my actions and align them with what You would have me do.

So often, Creator, I offer myself to You only to turn around and take that control back.

It leaves me in pain and filled with doubt that I'll win this fight.

Show me Your light in the face of these doubts.

Enter my thoughts when I'm taking back control, and teach me how to turn that around and right back into Your care and protection.

Show me what my role is in this life. The one that aligns with You and Your grand design, because I won't believe how I've been living is what You would have me do.

I love You, Creator, please take that love and offer it to all who need, for when You are with me, and I have given You all that I am, that love flows bountiful and unending.
