A free-style poem about the unsung side of Glory.
Sometimes it's just a candle's glow,
A whispered "yes" when life says "no".

Not in the clash of steel and might,
but in the peace that follows the night.

The strength to face another day,
when hope seems world's and world's away.

Not in the crown that gilds the brow,
but in the strength to keep a vow.

Some seek it in the thunder's roar,
yet it's more likely found at your neighbors door.

For glory dwells in quiet deeds,
in gentle hands that tend life's seeds.

It lives within the healing tears,
the gentle touch that calms our fears.

Not in the spotlight's blinding glare,
but in the soul that learns to share.

The courage found in starting new,
the heart that says, "I'll see this through."

Not in the heights we hope to climb,
but in the love that takes its time.

It echoes not in Victory's song,
as loud as in the will to carry on.

When Hope seems dim yet still we rise,
thats where glory's truest essence lies.
