What color pen do you write with?
If the pen bleeds and bleeds,
When do we stop writing?
Ink flows freely through our fingertips,
With every click, push and flick, the tip of the pen is summoned.
We always had a choice, our actions caused the pen to bleed,
But,
We know when to stop.
We stop when we finish writing.
We stop when we know we are done.
The pen turns grateful for the break,
everytime we click, push and flick
the pen is given time to re-energize.
If we know the choice is between our fingertips, why don't we ever stop?
From the minute our eyes peel open, we are being clicked,
The only time we get time to re-energize is when we are dead.
If the life of the pen is never clicked, pushed, and flicked off,
The ink would slowly seep out,
staining the page-
staining your hands-
leaving behind the remnants of what once was.
If the pen is never clicked, pushed and flicked off,
Its life will end before it has even begun.
If the life of the pen is decided by us, shouldn't someone else guide our life for us?
We need someone to tell us to stop writing,
We need someone to tell us to think before we write.
After all, once the ink is on the page,
you can't take it back.
