When she misses her flight, only her cat is happy.
Sunday, March 9, would have been great
I already had my ticket for eight,
My suitcase case was packed and my cat with a friend
But it ended as most missed plane stories end.

Due to the time change, I slept in an hour,
And the highway was slick with a moderate shower
Causing a hydroplaned truck to block lanes
And the minutes ticked down to departure of plane.

I got to the airport but couldn’t afford
A ticket for hundreds for another flight,
But my cat at least was happy:
She got to sit in my lap that night.

It wasn't supposed to end that way.
