Do we question are choices or wish to change things from our past?
Can we undo facets of our life?
Make over those parts that ripple and bump
Leaving things jagged and broken.

If only we could --
But there are no mulligans in life.
There are no dress rehearsals.

We all just do the best we can
With what we have and what we know
Learning as we go.

Mistakes build character
Create experiences that grow our knowledge
And make us a little wiser.

But still, we all long to erase
Some aspect of ourselves
That brings our fatal flaws to light.

And makes us fully human
Even when we want to crawl away and hide.
One cannot undo what God has planned.

Each step has already been destined
And it is not our place to question those steps
For we are to use what we learn to help others.
