A fiery poem; love, blame, and conceit, weaving a tale; twin sisters, scripted passion.

Loosely to the song “Carry On” By Crosby, Stills, Nash, And Young.

This morning, I woke up, and I knew you were gone,
You slipped out so smoothly; your cold sheet sang the song.

How can you say it's all my fault,
When I’m not the one who's wrong?
You are the one who started this,
Now, I sing a mourning song.

I gave you my heart throb; your sister came along.
Now, clearly, it’s your fault; lust burns hot while you're gone.

No fault is mine; she mirrors you,
Your shadow powers her thrall.
She spread her molten flame on me,
Morning ember, she claimed my fall.

She kissed me, her ember, but you say I’m the sin.
I'm clearly not guilty; It’s your fault she’s within,

I'm not the one who broke the pact,
Falling deeply into her flames,
You are the one who leaves her here,
You scripted these playful games.

Twin sister, twin lovers, having only different names,
You want me to be true, but you set up a stage.

What did you think would happen here,
While you travel so far away?
You shouldn't think I could resist,
Your copy in every way!

This morning, I woke up, I'm singing different songs,
Your sister weaves your silk; to shadows, I hold on.

It's not my fault, I won't be blamed,
it's a theatre you direct.
You left her here to play your part,
Whatever did you expect?

Denial, on trial, hold my thorn; with moist caress,
Twin shadow, your trickster, her spark still brands my skin.

I won't accept the blame for this,
I'm not guilty you scripted this stage,
You set it up and pulled me in,
I'll deny it ink to page.

I'm not the chain-breaker; her fountain's not my sin,
You left her to mirror; your shadow drew me in.

Your twin's embrace was your design,
You scripted this play to burn,
Caught in the flame you both ignite,
No desire to return.

Your Sister, you miss her; you want to make amends,
That's OK, it’s your play, this threesome we’ll defend.

We want you just as much, my love,
As dry rivers desire the rain.
Yes, she's a flood that captured me,
She pulsed my heart to flame.

This morning, I woke up, your ring back with your hand,
Two Sisters, one fierce heart; we three will make a stand.
