A real story about what happened to me

I was young, around ten or maybe even younger, I would say.

I remember being afraid to ask for drinks from my parents, but wasn't allowed- or didn't know, what to get from the big fridge before me.

It was a nice summer day, and I was outside, wandering around the house and garage. I was dehydrated from the hot sun glaring down on me, and I was too scared to ask. I searched for any juice pouches, pops, hug barrels, anything, something to help parch the thirst in my dry throat, yet I found nothing. Hours passed, my mom and dad asleep and my siblings in their rooms.

I got desperate and I searched through the freezer, fridge, pantry, then I saw some milk... it was in a weird-looking machine but it looked like milk. I didn't even think twice about why it was out of the fridge. I didn't care that it was next to the garbage pile or was slightly chunky I just held it to my chapped lips like I was a dehydrated animal.

The taste hit me first, sour and putrid- then I felt the texture, chunky, clumpy. I spat it out and ran to the faucet to get a drink and wash out my mouth... later I figured out that the 'milk' was breast milk.
