A Story Full of love & hate. (I wrote this for school, everything is fiction.)

One of my favorite story's is a story about this girl who fell in love with another girl. This story is so beautiful, it's about overcoming your fears and to just do what you love, no matter what people say.

So, the main character, called "Lu", grew up in a very religious household. She grew up, learning the word of Christ. She was taught that the gays where demons sent straight from hell and was taught to stay away from them, but the older she got, the less she understood. One of her favorite bible verse, Leviticus 19:18: You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord", states you should not have hatred or look down on someone else no matter what they believe, and that you should love and treat people as you would yourself. So, she told her parents her opinion and they said, "Stop saying such questionable things, we are your parents, we know what we're talking about, you trust us, right". And she did trust her parents, so she left it alone. As time passed by, she realized something about herself. She might be gay.

She realized that it's not normal to have a million different pictures of Jenna Ortaga in your room and to only really listen to Girl in Red, scared, she thought she was going to go to hell, she was panicking, she truly believed that being gay would make God hate her. She was scared her parents would disown or abandon her, for her horrendous sin. She told her friend, who we will call Emma, about her "horrendous sin" and Emma looked at her, and started laughing. Lu looked dumbfounded. Her friend wiped a joyful tear off her eye and said, "It's ok, your fine, God doesn't hate, God will never hate you, and you're probably not, no, I know you're not going to hell. You're going to be fine". Lu looked at her like she just saw a ghost.

"What", Lu said confused, listening to her friend tell her that it's ok, and that she's not going to burn in hell for her disowning sin. She was confused, she grew up around people telling her that to be gay was one of the worst things that could ever happen to a person, but here she is standing in front of her tall, beautiful friend, telling her that to be gay was ok. She was about to cry, she was scared, confused, and afraid, and just didn't know what to do. Emma told her something, she said, "So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him, 1 John 4:16", She continued," See, God loves you for loving, If the thing you love is girls, then it doesn't matter, Love Is Love, and plus you can't choose who you love, it's ok."

This story tells a story about a girl who had to understand herself, who she wanted to be, who or what she liked. Growing up in a household like hers in a shell, it kind of made her hate herself. But my story is for the kids who are like Lu, All I have to say is YOU ARE NOT ALONE, AND YOU ARE YOU NOT SOMEONE ELSE. LOVE IS LOVE UNDERSTAND THAT!!!
