The absurdity of the times we're in

The ad listing 100 side effects of a pill
shows a lady so glad and chill
looking happy and strolling calmly
even though a dose makes her a zombie

Jobs ripped away, people disrespected
human rights coldly rejected
and they don't feel much relief
from our ignorant commander-in-chief

Medicaid robbed from the needy, no big deal
why should they care how others feel?
gotta have those golf trips home, full stop
every weekend at three million a pop

Wars abound for no good reason
but tyrants find them pleasin'
suffering thrives; less give, more take
it's easy to feel this world is fake.

How could humanity be so dense
to allow this experience
where did common sense go?
we need to fix this tragic clown show.
