This comes from the depths of my being, a bittersweet analogous eulogy for Liberty.

In days long past, people gathered together, in unison with similar ideals. They had dreams for their posterity. Today, the stories of journeys, of trials, and of miraculous victories against an insurmountable enemy are echoed in the voices now occupying that space of history.

Flags fly, displayed proudly as a testament to the valour and commitment to an eternal cause: "Liberty."

We still face, as our predecessors did, that unseen and violent aggressor that seeks not only the life blood from this Nation, but also its very "soul"! What shall be left of Liberty, she is stripped and defiled by those whose sole purpose, is to tarnish the very Nature of her? When I see a Flag, hoisted high closer to the clouds, I am transported in memory, back to a time where words were honoured by honourable people... when Liberty meant what it was supposed to, where people who sought justice, decency, dignity, and honour were welcomed. We treated the foreigner as one of our own.... the disabled were no longer shut out from society; they could be a part of it.

Someone took it up themself to take everything that was good and wholesome about Liberty and corrupt her.

On our currency, it reads," In God we Trust!" Which one resides now in those who claim liberty for themselves, while others suffer and die?

Lord Have Mercy on Us!!!
