Second chances

I gift a person second chances
Thirds
Fourths
Fifths and forever

We don’t know
We can never know
The words repeated
Through thin walls

Or poems
That are written
In the places
They often hide

Yes
I gift a person second chances
Thirds
Fourths
Fifths and forever
Because that’s what I deserved

Never gifted
So I will give
Because I know
And will always know.


No one is truly too far
