The most important substance in the world. If only I could drink.

I looked down at the empty water bottle in front of me and drooled. I needed a drink of water. I was starting to see things. Just a few minutes ago I thought I saw a unicorn dancing among the sand. It appeared to lead to an oasis. When I got closer though I realized it was just more sand. No oasis found. I was lost and confused. Maybe a unicorn would show up again and lead me to an oasis.

Then I spotted the same unicorn again. Along with a Pegasus. They seemed real and I blinked my eyes. No, I wasn't imagining them. Or I was. Anyway, I followed them again. Two instead of one. They traveled quickly across the sand. I dared to go as fast as I could to keep up with them. My water bottle fell of the dashboard. I sighed. Time was running out. Here I was lost in the desert with only these mythical creatures to guide me. If I could find water in time then I could quench my thirst and wait for the rest of the army to find me. I was alone.

I was going to be stationed out at the Air Force Base with the rest of my fellow army members. It was a tough battle going on and this base and the others had been destroyed. My plane got destroyed in the process. When I was suppose to arrive at the base then I would be assigned a new plane to fly. Now all of that hopes had gone through the drain. Suddenly, I hit the brakes. I was about to run into a tree! The unicorn and pegasus were gone. I got out of the jeep and looked around. Could this be real water to drink? I ran toward the liquid, cupped my hands and drank. It was water indeed! Now I could wait for the rest of the army to search for me and rescue me from this desert of sand.

Prompt: I needed a drink of water. I was starting to see things. Just a few minutes ago I thought I saw...
