Children and teens go through horrible hardships, it is time we take a stand.

Through the many challenges life has to offer, we never really take enough time to notice everyone's personal struggles. I believe this is a struggle in perspective, especially to notice it in children. Children have an overwhelming amount of emotions and no outlets, still everyone turns a blind eye and waits for good results. All children need understanding in a world that is lacking in compassion. Some get quiet when such topics arise, but this is an issue that can't be ignored. This issue has been here from generation to generation, it's time we know that children deserve understanding, not just adults. I believe this is a global issue that can be solved through solving ignorance. When we can fully understand the urgency of children's mental health we can begin to help and be aware. Help is what is missing when these children's cries begin. I want to help these children now and in the future. I want these children to know their importance because they have been taught otherwise. How can I help this issue? Currently I keep my resources in mind. I keep in mind the many counselors that want to help. In my near future I aspire be a social worker and counselor for high risk youth. Through disposing ignorance we can all make a difference.

How can we all make a difference? I have the opinion that when bonded over a cause, we can make change. In this case, the change is for the youth. We can make a difference by different nonprofit organizations. You might be asking yourself how a nonprofit organization can benefit mental health. Well, we can make children's therapy more available and welcoming to those who can't pay for today's expensive therapy sessions. The costs for therapy per session in the United States are currently ranging from two hundred to eight hundred dollars. That isn't the most welcoming price to children. We can offer, through nonprofit organizations, more available mental health resources. These children deserve a bright future that is filled with opportunity. Just because a child doesn't have a bright start they can have a bright future. It is also important to prioritize a safe home for children, this is why we need more supporting services, like social work. Right now there is a need for social workers and it has shown. It is predicted that by 2030 the United States will be 200,000 workers short. Through new organizations, however, we can provide more mental health resources and inspire others to help those in need.

There are approximately 260 births per minute. Each child starts a new life, however, a lot start a new life with not a promising mental health journey. The virtues represented here are ones that a community can relate too. Not being able to get help is a horrible feeling which nobody in any community should experience. Through setting up non profit organizations every community can contribute, even just by supporting the idea we can make a difference. Even other children can support it by creating a welcoming environment to all. We can welcome the new and the old friends in our community. When kids move from different states, cities, or even countries they deserve understanding. Those who are younger experience great emotional changes no matter where we are in the world, this will never change. We all, as a community, need to be accepting of changing for the better. Changing for the better is what powers us all in the future. We need to stop looking to the past so we can support the future: our youth. The past shouldn't comfort us now, as we join together for a cause we can make the future look brighter and brighter each day. We can bring each other up and not down. Preventing mental health issues in the early stages of a child's adolescence can prevent them from committing heinous acts that cannot be taken back. Through the power of taking action, we can make a difference.
