Reflecting on the past with appreciation for what was and missing of what shall not be.

When I am alone and have time to reflect
These are the things that on which I find myself inspect

What could have been
And what we should be
Bitter sweet in my mouth
All these things I forever see
The world it shifts in this life
Inconsistent constantly

Often an imposter
Yet sometimes actually me
To have all you had ever wanted
You have to pay a fee

Was it joyous, was it agonizing
Yes it was, to both of these
Was it worth it for the memories I hold
Yes it was, this I do concede
