Can the damaged learn to love again?

I know
You think
I'm taking you for granted
We were both already damaged
When we met.

Manipulations
Warning signs
Boundaries never realized,
Deceptions, not just telling lies
While we wept.

You know
I think
Your eyes, they shine like diamonds,
Glittered purple on your eyelids
Sometimes green

As peacock
And the hen
Feathered dance in nighttime wind
With just one glance, they drew me in
I was in love.

I don't know
Do ya think
We can come back from the brink
Learn to fall in love again.
Reciprocate

Do for me,
I do for you
When we're together One forms from two.
Reciprocate

I don't want
To fall in love
Instead I wish for us to grow
To be together until we're old
And brown hairs gray.

So take my hand
You have my heart
Though I sometimes
Take things hard
I will not fail

Stubbornness
And Loyalty
Both our strengths and weaknesses
Should've left but always stayed
I will not quit.

Reciprocate.
