A little poem about a complicated relationship with hope.

Sorry dear hope
I let you down
Though it feels like
You let it be

Was there any point
Your enigmatic presence
A blessing to them
A reminder to me

Battling myself
No proof or truth
It was so easy
Their sneering laughs

Stuck in the cycle
Promise of miracles
Different moon phases
Nothing went planned

Alone this city aches
Tears can’t trade time
Breathing to prove
To try this age

New moon in sky
World is unfair
Gave me a chance
To see your face

Turning the clock
Praying again
Snapping out
This foreign cage

Sorry dear hope
We start from down
Though no gravity
No certainty

But that's how we work

Limits and none

Sorry dear hope

We have to look up
