Thoughts on "Authoritarianism" panic

Authoritarian-favoring or enforcing strict obedience to authority-Society is rejecting the philosophy of "Authoritarianism". Is that not what our Bill of Rights, Constitution, and the Bible are? Parenting practices, work rules, codes and regulations, and recreational game rules. Our entire Judicial, Legislative, and Executive branches of Government and all of the preceding mentions were created and perpetually amended to "authorize obedience" and influence desired behavior, and impose consequences to deter deviation from defined and desired behavior. A society left to each individual's devices would surely lead to chaos and demise. The capacity to obey is a gift; the ability to obey is a skill; the willingness to obey is a choice. I'm 74 years of age and was bred, born, and raised by a pair of "authortarians" and confident they each came from a long line of "authortarians". I was an "authoritarian" parent; my grown children would most likely testify I STILL am. Were all the generational practices identical? No, they evolved and were amended as society matured, but a couple of practices should never change: respect and dignity.
