Just another night in Berkeley in the sixties

Just Another Berkeley Tower of Power Evening

Just Another Tower of Power Night in Berkeley

one day
In Berkeley

A dance band
Was playing

The Tower of Power
A band straight
Out of the sixties

The band was tight
The audience
Was grooving
To the moving

Watching
the band’s mascot
A feral black cat

Dancing on a matchbox
In front of the bandstand

At midnight dynamos
Set off fireworks
Over the open air
Above the Bay

The band played on
What is hip!

Just another wild night
In Berkeley

Use in your poem or story the following and bold it for tomorrow's judge:

dancing
Midnight dynamos
dance band
out of the sixties
black cat
Matchbox
open air
