Describing the condition of constant struggle, and the consequences born from ambition.

Thereupon a hill I lay, I'd sought to vacate from the fray,
but despair returned to me, and did claim my hill's valley.
Though I'd rather watch and smile, warmly, calmly, drift awhile,
I know that hell is here to stay; I've to fight it ev'ry day.

Therewithin my valley green I did want all that I'd seen,
but demons did infest the land, and I did raise a zealous hand
and smote the fiends beneath my gaze, and wrote this song which now still says,
"Thou creatures vile, thy minds be rent!" and just like that, my soul'd been spent.

Therewithout my mind I stood and purified all that I could,
my need for valley's verdancy had turned desire into greed.
Ambitions tall consume us all, the small being it doth appall,
for their minds are content with naught but food and friends: the anti-rot!
