If you seek to be a great leader, you must have thick skin, a tolerant heart, unshakable patience, and an unwavering desire to make a difference and bring about lasting change.

Thick skin — because people will talk about you and say nasty things about you as sure as you’re born. Stay focused. Don't let their words distract you from your mission.

A tolerant heart — a willingness to allow the existence of opinions and behaviors you may disagree with. Great leaders listen, understand, and find balance amid disagreement.

Unshakable patience — the art of being slow to anger, not easily offended or defensive. You don't need to win every argument or force your way through. Real leadership requires calm in the storm.

An unwavering desire to make a difference and bring about lasting change — because true change takes time. It rarely comes quickly or easily. The desire to see transformation must never fade, even when the results take longer than expected. Remember: the race is not to the swift, but to those who endure to the end.

So keep pressing forward. Lead with strength, grace, and endurance.
