they never saw it coming

reality held hostage
fog dwindles, revealing
a ransom note

work rays

bright sun today
nine minute countdown
warm blanket embrace

a quiet winter

cold winter snow
memories warm;
minute frozen still

traffic silence

glistening leaves
sunlit poise
red light luxury

a walk in the park

duck pond
gently warping reality
in murky waters
