Sometimes we can't help but take the blame for the deaths of others. |
"Piove" or "Dawn"
(It is Italian for 'Rain') The rain is beating the drums of time breaking my illusions that leave me empty inside in the sorrows of my peace. The wallpaper, like clockwork, fades into the fitful screams we had that erode my memory of you. Dawn, where have you gone? Dawn, why won't you cry on me? I was your disciple why can't you see? You'll always be the breath in me. In the deafening silence numbing my lungs you're still a world away. from the solace of your earthen bed Never let me rest in peace. Your tires squealed. You broke like glass. The Rubicon was crossed; Now there's no turning back. Dawn, why won't you talk to me? Just stay and yell till the walls break down. Don't drive away into that Omega scream to stay lodged in my memory. The churchyard now is empty Where was that faith we knew? why did you have to leave my anger to lose your place in time. My sharpened tears a swollen, flooding fury become all that's left of you. Dawn, why can't you learn forgiveness now? under this umbrella of rain. Drown me in the Stygian Sea if it will bring you back to me. Dawn, my light kill me and set me free. *************************** This piece was made for "Invalid Item" If you haven't checked it out yet you're missing some other really great pieces by our resident authors! *************************** |
