Medieval love metaphor.Rather bleak.
I live my life in a hell hole.
I spend all my time fighting for what's right.
This unfortunately is my damnation.
My pride and sin took away my life.

There is no comfort wherever you are.
Fear follows you anywhere you go.
It is your driving force on the battlefield.
Then it lingers with you at the hearth.

Come home from a heartaching defeat.
Throw my battle gear down, my armor rusted.
Now I'm too vunerable for this.
Tomorrow, though, is my fateful fight.

There is no comfort wherever you are.
Fear follows you anywhere you go.
It is your driving force on the battlefield.
Then it lingers with you at the hearth.

The sun rises a bright bloody red.
I'm already up, fitting myself new armor.
My weapons are cleaned, polished and set.
I grab my equipment and rush to my troop.

There is no comfort wherever you are.
Fear follows anywhere you go.
It is your driving force on the battlefield.
Then it lingers with you at the hearth.

The fight begins, and the ground reeks red.
I want to give this up, but it's not my command.
Love is a bloodsport I always lose.
That makes me wonder why I'm still standing.

There is no comfort wherever you are.
Fear follows you anywhere you go.
It is your driving force on the battlefield.
Then it lingers with you at the hearth.

I return home sadly with victory.
However, I lost all of those who meant anything.
Indeed, love's a bloodsport, and I lost again.
My heart is empty, and now it means nothing.

There is no comfort wherever you are.
Fear follows anywhere you go.
It is your driving force on the battlefield.
Then it lingers with you at the hearth.
