Alisza is excited that she is now old enough for brain wave stimulation |
Alisza of the Future chapter two The Time of Alisza That wave link was swiftly terminated. During our next engagement, I will have to try to convey to Sarah the importance of remaining calm. If she becomes even slightly excited, communication is impossible. I feel shamefully guilty about sounding a bit harsh with her. It's just that it's difficult for me to pursue a melodious conversation when I only have a few seconds to present information. The concept of brain wave abilities has only recently been realized in my lifetime. A candidate for the stimulation process must have flawless potential. Only one out of a hundred individuals possess the trait of brain wave capability. Of those few, the capability must be initially strong in order for the process to prevail. Finally, the person must be eighteen. Two months ago, as soon as I turned eighteen, I asked my dad to proceed with the process. I eagerly waited my whole life anticipating that moment, and it finally came! My dad is a prominent scientist at the Cerebral Advancement Institute. He is part of the team who discovered brain wave stimulation. Back in Sarah's time, researchers were aware that extra sensory perception existed, but they had a long way to go to understand the concept. In more recent years, researchers have done more in-depth investigations. It was determined that humans have brain capabilities similar to a dolphin's sonic capabilities. Intelligent frequencies can be both transmitted and received from the human brain of certain individuals that have the evolved characteristic. Of course, an enhancing process was necessary to accelerate this function. That's where my dad and his team came in. They developed that technology. They have located the exact portion of the brain that has this function and found it to be cushioned in the middle of what is basically non-functional material. The scientists extract the useless encasement, which creates room for enlargement of this crucial section. After that, cell multiplying injections are really all that is needed until the space is filled up with the now fully functioning enhanced brain section. The feeling is incredible. I am told that it is in comparison to the deaf hearing for the first time, or the blind seeing all the indescribable wonders of the world at last. For this reason, two weeks of intense training is mandatory to eliminate any overwhelming feelings. That part was easy for me because brain wave technology has always been my father's main topic of conversation! I felt as though I prepared all of my life for this. It is tremendously easy to contact family members of the past, present, or future since we operate at compatible frequencies. The undeveloped brain waves of people from the past require mildly cunning communication tactics. Basically the person of the past must be in a deep, serene sleep in order for communication to be possible. The trait for brain wave ability is strong in my family lineage, however the link is immediately severed as soon as the person is removed from their blissful state. That is why I only had a few seconds with Sarah. I have a gift for her. She is at a time right before a grad student from Boston University will accidentally discover a vaccination against the common cold. I will enlighten Sarah to the stock which is about to sky rocket because of that discovery. We are family, therefore we are expected to help each other. After all, that is why I was trying to get the quarters for Lani. Lani and I speak to each other often. She is a relative of mine who exists five hundred years from my time. I was in astounding awe the first time that she contacted me. Her society is astonishingly advanced in telepathy, and they attribute it all to people like my dad. We were the beginning. I am at an advantage, though in that I can communicate with Sarah. Lani's advanced race is too powerful to link with undeveloped brains. That's why she requested that I ask Sarah to collect the quarters. The idea was that we would keep them in the family over the generations with intentions of getting them to Lani. The people of Lani's generation have every astonishing notion imaginable, yet it is chic to collect trinkets from the past. People no longer carry money in that time. That's why she wanted to add the quarters to the museum that she owns. Through our conversations, I learned of remarkable items in her museum that don't as yet exist in my time. Lani longs to have the quarters though. Once money became obsolete, it vanished from existence. Some old coins are around, but the state quarters only exist in photos.... My thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a warm, shimmering, silverly blur nearby where I was sitting. go to "Alisza of the Future Chapter Three" |
