On the couch

I called it a
Couch of Crispy Discourse.
You never smiled
not once
burdened with your
Agenda
and things to be done.

To you it was
a moment
a curiosity
an adventure.

You never learned
the bitter difference
between
hunting and sport,
to my grief.
Saying that aloud
doesn't mean
I know either,
but it feels right.
