An early feeble attempt at rhyming.
The Love of Friends

The love of a friend
Is something dear.
Not always far
But, always near.

It’s lovely and rare
As the ruins of Rome.
It’s in your heart
For, that’s love’s home.

For when someone loves you
You’ll know it’s good.
You’ll know it’s real
Or, at least you should.

And then you’ll love them
And that’s much more
For loving each other
Is what love’s for.
