The Sea

Standing on the dock in the company of a friend,
I become aware of the awesome life before us:
The Sea.
Struck by her overwhelming beauty,
She forces us to explore that which is here.
Our awareness is profound!
Alive with her emotions, she hurls us into her depths and back.
The sea captures us and sets us free!
She rocks us to and fro.
We see reflections of our lives in her still blue waters.
Our frustrations are swept into the gray rush of her waves
And thrust downward into her depths.
These problems and frustrations are thus swept away
From our lives and we are left happily content.
We lose ourselves in this surging mass of unknown existence.
For, who can know the full extent of her beauty?
Certainly no one can fully know and appreciate her.
The Sea: What a charming and satisfying existence she is!!
