Dawn,
in all its beauty,
paints colours across the skies,
decorating
for the celebration
of a new day.

Birds sing,
chorus after chorus,
of their natural song adding
their gift
to the celebration
of a new day.

Deer stand
in silence on the misty meadow
as if in awe of the splender,
giving their respect
to the celebration
of a new day.

The sun rises,
changing the colours
that spread farther across the skies,
then bursting over the treetops
in its celebration
of a new day.

Rising high,
the sun takes its place of honor,
then slowly steps down,
leaving us to rest for
tomorrow's celebration
of a new day.
