Just a song that I wrote for my friend, Sunshine |
Well, on this day (the 26th), two months ago, my friend Sunshine moved back to Canada. Thing is, it was two weeks before school ended in her Junior year and she hadn't ever lived in Canada-only her parents had. Sunshine was the bassist in my group Dramatica, one of my best friends ever, and one of the sweetest, most reliable girls on the planet. She was going into her SENIOR YEAR, when, all of a sudden, her parents decide to just move her away from everything she's ever known and take her up to Canada, so they could be near friends. Her parents are greedy pigs and have stolen from me a best friend, from Dramatica the best bassist on the planet, and from Florida one of it's sweetest, smartest citizens. This song is for her... Pretty China Doll I remember that day When you stole my heart away There was no one I loved more You were so beautiful Hair like spun gold And a heart just as pure Pretty china doll In a neat little package Smiling out at me So many years we had Together all the time We were damn near Inseperable (slow down) A porcelein face So perfect for me Eyes bright And shimmering Pretty china doll In a neat little package Smiling out at me Suddenly taken from me Gone is my pretty china doll Stolen from my eyes Ripped from my heart Where have you gone Pretty little doll? Far away Taken from me By your makers' greed (a tempo-back to regular tempo) Pretty china doll Such a pretty china face Eyes shining out at me Taken from your place Pretty china doll In a cute little package Smiling out at me Pretty china doll In a cute little package (slow down considerably) Gone forever (end with a lovely little guitar riff and a light rolling on a drum cymbol) |
