Words fall like rain

Acid Rains

When words that are hurt,
fall like acid rain,
They scar and corrode,
Leaving bitter open pain.

They move about their business,
Incidiously weaving,
Stealing all your joy,
replacing it with grieving.

They cannot speak forgiveness,
Of love they've no understanding,
never bringing peace,
only more demanding

So I'll let anothers tears
wash thier stain away,
he won the right on a cross,
many years before today,

Now, I can hold
words that fall away
living with the forgiveness
earned that fateful day
